Compu-Homes SA (Pty) Ltd was established in the early 1980s
by our Managing Director, Mr. Karl Fr. Ketzer.
The company is active in the housing sector, specializing
in energy-efficient housing, composting sanitation and solar
water heating. Our products are the result of years
of practical experience and continuing Research & Development,
two of them enjoying patent protection.
Our management team currently consists of Mr. Karl Fr. Ketzer
(Managing Director), Mr. Ralf S. Ketzer (Technical Director)
and BEE member, Ms. Gwen A. Bennett (Marketing).

Karl Fr. Ketzer (Managing Director)
Mr. Karl Fr. Ketzer spent ten years - from 1971
to 1981 - as Senior Professional Assistant and Quantity Surveyor
with the Engineering Department of the City
Council of Cape Town, South Africa.
His responsibilities included medium to large
building contracts and low-cost housing projects on the Cape
Flats outside Cape Town.
He realized current building methods and the
lack of skilled labour were unable to address the growing
housing shortage. This prompted the design of the energy-efficient
Compu-Homes™ building concept. The
Binlet™ waterless sanitation system
soon followed. |
